The Wisdom of Fathers Is Not a Croc

I am jealous of AbbaGav

When my 7 year old daughter seeks to partake of my wisdom, it is to help her take her hairbands out of her hair.
But AbbaGav's daughter asks her Abba to defend her against crocodiles.

Wow.

I'm not very good with the hair bands. I think that's pretty much the explanation. But thanks anyway. (you can always just cut the hair off and the hairband goes with it).

Actually, I used that as a threat when I was teaching. One year, those troll dolls were the in thing and the kids (it was a 6th grade class) were taking the dolls out in the middle of class.

I told them: if I see another troll doll during class, I will personally give it a haircut.

Problem solved.

On the other hand, if I would dare do (or even threaten to do) that to one of my daughter's dolls...

My wife is the one that has threatened my daughter with a short haircut if she does not brush her hair and take care of it properly.

The strategums of parents...
